How to Add An Image

You Are Not Currently Logged In

If you are a CFAN member and are looking for the CFAN 411, job postings, specific event announcements or signups, you must log in to access these features.

Step 1:

Find your image on Flickr (or your other photo sharing site) and locate the URL.

Step 2:

Locate the URL on Flickr using the "Share This" menu.  Other photo sharing sites will have similar menus to get to the URL of the actual image itself.

adding image step 2

Note that the URL is everything in the quotes after img src - the quotes themselves should not be carried over.  A proper url for an image will begin with http:// and end with an image extension such as .jpg, .gif or .png.

You can also bring in an image that is served from another website, such as your own. If the site is not protecting it's images in some way, you can do this by Right Clicking (or Command Clicking on a Mac) on the image and selecting "Copy Link Location" (or whatever specific text is used in your browser) from the contextual menu that right clicking brings up.

Step 3:

Add the image to your entry on the CFAN site by following the directions below.

If the image is not visible after you click insert, then you did not get a correct URL.  Delete the broken link graphic that appears in it's place and try again.
